Welcome to Waiahole Nursery and Garden Center. We cater to the backyard gardener, so come in with all your ideas and we will help you get started. Whether you want to plant a vegetable garden, a flower garden, add some fruit trees to your landscape, or put in a privacy hedge along a neighboring property, we are here to help. It is most helpful if you can do a little research before you come in, so that you are able to tell us about:
  • Soil conditions (clay, sandy, loamy, silty, peaty, or chalky) if you are unsure, check out this website.
  • Number of hours in light (direct, indirect, shade).
  • How much water your location gets.
  • Your elevation.
  • Approximate distance from the ocean (some plants do not like salt water mist). 

In the sections that follow, we list the fruit, vegetable and flower plants that we commonly have on hand. Please call ahead to be sure we have your choices in stock before making the beautiful drive to the windward side (or just come and hang out on a beautiful day).
